The Financial Crime Enforcement Network has launched online reporting for the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report for 2024. You may be thinking “what is beneficial ownership and why do I have to submit this?” Beneficial ownership information refers to identifying information about the individuals who directly or indirectly own or control a company. The report must be filed due to a new law enforced by the Financial Crime Enforcement Network. Reports are due no later than January 1, 2025.
